Character Strengths & Well-being
We believe that it is through the embodiment of character strengths of people loved by Allah that one can truly unlock boundless potential, achieve well-being, and lead a fulfilling life. Our focus is on the development of character strengths of people loved by Allah, as mentioned in the Quran, and listed below.
- Muttaqun: Those who are conscious of Allah and fear him.
- Mutawakilun: Those who rely on Allah.
- Muhsinun: Those who do good deeds in a state of Ihsan.
- Muqsitun: Those who are fair and just.
- Mutataharun: Those who keep themselves pure and clean.
- Tawabun: Those who repent after doing a wrong deed with the intention of not doing that wrong deed again.
- Sabirun: Those who are patient and steadfast.
- Those who follow the Sunnah.
For us, the path to well-being and a good life is through character strengths that emanate from Iman. The following ayat of the Quran sums it up:
Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do. (Al-Quran 16:97)
